Sex

It’s been 18 years now since the edition of the controversial book ‘SEX’, by Madonna. Here you can have a look at the whole book, a true revolution in the field of erotic photography. It was the first time that a star like Madonna did such explicit stuff and it became a bestseller in a few days. Today a reprint is almost impossible but it’s not difficult to get on the Internet. In this book, Madonna – or Dita- shares explicit letters, intimate memories and hot pictures with celebrities like Isabella Rossellini or Naomi Campbell.

Freedom from Porn?

Since the arrival of Apple’s iPad, there’s been a really interesting discussion going on about how Apple is not allowing adult content apps on their new beloved tablet. This video came out from the intiative Freedom from Porn and it shows a guerrilla action demanding for the true freedom of access to any contents. Any company should not be able to decide on whether we should or shouldn’t watch, by hoarding the technology, speacilly considering that we can always set up parental control in any computer or tablet. Who’s going to decide, then, what is porn and what isn’t? (And, by the way, why there’s not such concern with violent content?) This post in Gawker talks about it and there’s a comment I totally agree with: : “paul verlaine, guillaume apollinaire, jean genet, henry miller, claude cahun, jack smith, andy warhol, william burroughs, allen ginsberg, bernardo bertolucci, robert mapplethorpe, jeff koons, are just a few of the artists whose work has been deemed pornographic and sometimes destroyed by the Powers That Be… What kind of “right” freedom does Jobs have in mind? Ahmadinejad’s?”

Crazy Horse

The amazing artist Ellen Von Unwerth -I’ve already told you about her work- has just done this great photo shooting at the Crazy Horse in Paris, one of the most remarkable cabaret shows in the city. This is also one of the recommended hot spots in my upcoming book, The Erotic Bible to Europe.

Our Porn, Ourselves

This is a very interesting initiative by the famous American blogger Violet Blue, who has created a new pro-porn site called Our Porn Ourselves. The idea came out from an anti-porn feminist conference in Boston, just a few weeks ago. This censor lobby still thinks that feminism and porn are not compatible, as if we didn’t have the right of watching any sex expression that we enjoy. Our Porn Ourselves has also a very active page on Facebook, which I already support. Have a look at it!

LOVE HOTEL

As I told you a few days ago, in LUST FILMS we’ve been working for the shoes brand CAMPER, shooting a short film at their great hotel in Barcelona, CASA CAMPER. The project was coordinated by Boolab, and they brought together six directors to shoot there altogether for one day: six directors, six stories… Crazy! For this project I worked with Paco Roca and Natalia París, the actors in Handcuffs, and we tried to continue their story: their arrival at a very special Love Hotel. We are just finishing the postproduction, but here you can see the making of . You’ll have the full piece very soon on our website, completely free! Enjoy!

About LIFE LOVE LUST

Ms Naughty, webmaster, blogger, and expert in female erotica, says this about my last movie LIFE LOVE LUST:

“When Barcelona-based filmmaker Erika Lust released her first short film The Good Girl in 2004, it heralded the start of a new wave of female-friendly adult movies. In the six years since, she’s proven her erotica credentials with two award winning features – Five Hot Stories for Her and The Barcelona Sex Project.

I’ve reviewed both films for For The Girls and thoroughly enjoyed both of them. Erika’s style of chic, engaging and visually stunning erotica was a very welcome addition to the adult industry landscape and raised the bar when it came to smart and sensual erotic filmmaking.
