I’ve just returned from Girona, where La Bonboniere de Ninon, one of the most beautiful erotic stores in Spain, arranged a presentation of my movie Cabaret Desire at Cinema Truffaut. Girona is one of the most cultured and refined cities in Catalonia, full of art galleries and trendy stores, as well as one of the most interesting and well-preserved gothic quarters in Spain.

Cinema Truffaut is in the heart of this gothic quarter and I was honored to have Cabaret Desire screened in an innovative arts theater, especially one as prestigious and intellectual as this.

The place was full to the rafters, until even all the standing-room was taken.  The prestigious sexologist Nuria Tio gave a presentation and profile about me: so thrilling, deep and heartfelt that it made my hair stand on end.  The truth is that it made me think that overall I need to devote myself a little more to this group of professionals who know my work, since they value it in such a positive way.

Finally, Anna, the owner of La Bonboniere de Ninon, took me to out to an adorable restaurant for dinner with a group of VIP friends, and we had a great night.  Thank you Anna!  Thank you Girona!!

A great New York Times interview with actress Maggie Gyllenhall where she discusses the portrayal of female sexuality and shooting a sex scene from the female perspective.  She stars in the soon-to-be-released ‘Hysteria’, a film about the bogus medical diagnosis and the resulting invention of the vibrator.

‘The Origins of Sex: A History of the First Sexual Revolution’, by Faramerz Dabhoiwala will be released this week in the USA!  For those of you disinclined toward the academic … I have this old standby for you, too.

New York’s Museum of Sex is an amazing place, and I had the big pleasure last week to show my movie Cabaret Desire to a selected audience, together with my friends of The Poetry Brothel.

The Poetry Brothel took part in my movie Cabaret Desire and they also came to help me last week in The Museum of Sex, a kind of MOMA about sex history and art.

I love the Museum of Sex in NY!

It was magic night of erotic cinema, poetry readings, drinks and fun. I’m already missing New York!
